Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Blood Bank Processing Assistant to support blood bank operations and laboratory processes. In this role, you will assist in processing blood samples, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in processing and labeling blood samples
Maintain accurate records of blood inventory and usage
Support blood storage and handling procedures
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
Assist in testing and preparation of blood products
Collaborate with lab technicians and healthcare teams
Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab areas
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
Support documentation and reporting processes
Ensure proper handling and transportation of samples
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field
0–2 years of experience in laboratory or healthcare support roles
Basic knowledge of blood bank or laboratory procedures
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a clinical or lab environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in blood bank or laboratory settings
Familiarity with lab information systems (LIS)
Knowledge of specimen handling and safety standards
Certification in phlebotomy or lab technology (preferred)
Understanding of healthcare compliance practices
