Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Security Event Monitoring Analyst to support security operations and threat detection. In this role, you will monitor security alerts, analyze events, and help safeguard organizational systems.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor security events and analyze alerts
Identify and respond to potential security threats
Maintain security logs and incident documentation
Collaborate with IT and security teams
Support SIEM tools and monitoring platforms
Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
Conduct basic vulnerability assessments
Track and report security metrics
Assist in incident response and escalation
Support continuous improvement of security operations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or IT security roles
Strong understanding of security monitoring concepts
Basic knowledge of SIEM tools and security systems
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO)
Basic knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure)
Understanding of incident response processes
Relevant certifications such as Security+ or CEH
