Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Operations Engineer to join our partner organization in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will support day-to-day IT operations, monitor systems, and ensure the reliability and performance of infrastructure services. This position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in IT operations, system monitoring, and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor IT systems, servers, and applications to ensure optimal performance and availability
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure, network, and system issues
Support incident management and service request processes
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system checks
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth operations and system reliability
Maintain documentation for processes, incidents, and system configurations
Assist in implementing automation and operational improvements
Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and security standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
0–2 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or technical support (internships/projects count)
Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking concepts
Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
Knowledge of ITIL framework and incident management processes
Exposure to DevOps tools and practices
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, or cloud certifications)
