Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior DevSecOps Engineer to join our partner organization in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will assist in building, securing, and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines, ensuring secure and efficient software delivery. This position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in DevOps, cybersecurity, and cloud-based operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with security best practices
Support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) deployments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
Monitor applications, servers, and network infrastructure for security vulnerabilities
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to resolve technical issues
Participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance activities
Maintain detailed documentation of processes, workflows, and configurations
Support automation of operational and security tasks
Stay updated on emerging DevSecOps practices, tools, and industry trends

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
0–2 years of experience in DevOps, IT operations, or cybersecurity (internships/projects count)
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow security protocols

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of security practices and vulnerability management
Familiarity with DevSecOps frameworks and automation tools
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CompTIA Security+)
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools for security and performance
