Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Capacity Planning Analyst to join our partner organization. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing system performance, forecasting capacity needs, and ensuring optimal utilization of IT resources. You will work closely with infrastructure, operations, and business teams to support scalability and performance across systems. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about data analysis, system optimization, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze system usage, performance metrics, and resource utilization trends
Forecast future capacity requirements for servers, storage, and network resources
Develop and maintain capacity planning models and reports
Collaborate with IT and business teams to align capacity with business needs
Identify potential performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions
Support infrastructure scaling and optimization initiatives
Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability
Assist in budgeting and resource allocation planning
Maintain documentation related to capacity planning processes
Stay updated with best practices in capacity management and IT operations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
0–2 years of experience in IT operations, system analysis, or capacity planning
Basic understanding of system performance metrics and monitoring tools
Familiarity with operating systems, networks, and databases
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)
Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with monitoring and performance tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell)
Understanding of ITIL practices and service management
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
