Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dialysis Support Technician to join our partner organization. In this role, you will assist dialysis staff in preparing equipment, monitoring treatments, and supporting patient care in the dialysis unit. This position is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare support, patient safety, and the technical aspects of dialysis therapy.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain dialysis machines and equipment for patient treatments
Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, disinfected, and functioning
Assist dialysis staff during patient treatments as needed
Monitor patient vital signs and report any concerns to nursing staff
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and treatment logs
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Support inventory management of dialysis supplies
Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and escalate when necessary
Provide patient support and maintain a safe treatment environment
Follow organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
0–2 years of experience in healthcare support, clinical assistance, or a related field
Basic understanding of medical equipment and infection control practices
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate documentation
Commitment to patient safety and care
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in dialysis or renal care settings
Certification as a Dialysis Technician (e.g., CCHT)
Knowledge of dialysis machine operation and maintenance
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
