Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Systems Upgrade Specialist to join our partner organization in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting system upgrades across IT infrastructure and applications. This position is ideal for professionals interested in system modernization, upgrades, and enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and migrations
Analyze current systems and recommend upgrade strategies
Coordinate with IT teams to minimize downtime during upgrades
Test upgraded systems to ensure functionality and performance
Troubleshoot issues arising from upgrades and implement fixes
Maintain documentation of upgrade processes and system changes
Ensure compliance with security and system standards
Support continuous improvement of IT systems and processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
0–2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure roles
Basic knowledge of operating systems, servers, and enterprise applications
Understanding of system upgrade and patch management processes
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with upgrade tools and deployment systems
Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux environments, and virtualization
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Understanding of cybersecurity and compliance standards
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or cloud certifications
