Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Surgical Recovery Nurse (RN) to provide care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. In this role, you will monitor post-operative patients, manage pain, and ensure safe recovery. This position is ideal for individuals interested in perioperative care, patient recovery, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor patients in post-anesthesia care units (PACU) after surgery
Assess patient vital signs and recovery progress
Administer medications and manage post-operative pain
Identify and respond to complications or adverse reactions
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare teams
Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Assist in patient transfers and discharge planning
Provide emotional support to patients during recovery
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
2–4 years of experience in surgical, PACU, or critical care nursing
Strong knowledge of post-operative care and recovery protocols
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Excellent clinical and critical-thinking skills
Strong communication and patient care abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or surgical recovery
Certification such as Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN)
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
Knowledge of pain management techniques and recovery pathways
Strong teamwork and patient advocacy skills
