Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Systems Patch Coordinator to manage and coordinate system patching activities across enterprise infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure timely deployment of patches, minimize system vulnerabilities, and maintain compliance with security and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule patch deployment activities across servers, systems, and endpoints
Monitor patch compliance and ensure systems are updated regularly
Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams to plan patch cycles
Test patches in controlled environments before production deployment
Identify and mitigate risks associated with patching activities
Maintain documentation of patching processes, schedules, and results
Track and report patch status, compliance metrics, and system vulnerabilities
Troubleshoot issues related to patch deployments and system updates
Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during patch cycles
Support automation of patch management processes where applicable
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
2–4 years of experience in IT systems support, patch management, or infrastructure roles
Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and system updates
Familiarity with patch management tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, or similar)
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, servers, and networking basics
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Good communication and coordination abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL, or similar
Experience with vulnerability management tools
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards
Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)
