Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software Configuration Engineer to support software configuration, build, and release management processes. In this role, you will help maintain version control systems, manage configurations, and ensure smooth deployment of software across environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain software configuration and version control systems
Assist in build and release processes across development, testing, and production environments
Track and document configuration changes and updates
Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure proper version control practices
Support automation of build and deployment processes
Troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues
Maintain documentation for configuration management processes
Ensure compliance with configuration standards and policies
Monitor system performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in environment setup and maintenance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
0–2 years of experience in software configuration, DevOps, or related roles
Basic understanding of version control systems (Git, SVN)
Familiarity with build tools and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Understanding of DevOps practices and automation
