Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Server Monitoring Specialist to oversee server performance and system health across enterprise environments. In this role, you will monitor infrastructure, respond to alerts, and ensure optimal uptime and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor server performance, availability, and health using monitoring tools
Respond to system alerts, incidents, and outages in a timely manner
Troubleshoot server-related issues across Windows and Linux environments
Maintain and configure monitoring systems and dashboards
Collaborate with IT teams to resolve infrastructure issues
Perform routine system checks and preventive maintenance
Document incidents, resolutions, and monitoring procedures
Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and SLAs
Support system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities
Analyze trends and recommend improvements for system performance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
2–4 years of experience in server monitoring, IT operations, or infrastructure support
Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or similar)
Basic understanding of networking and system performance metrics
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or similar
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure monitoring (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Familiarity with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management
Understanding of cybersecurity and system hardening practices
