Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Surgical Equipment Technician to support the maintenance and handling of surgical instruments and equipment. In this role, you will ensure that all equipment is properly sterilized, maintained, and ready for surgical use.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Inspect equipment for proper functioning and safety
Maintain inventory of surgical tools and supplies
Assist in setup and breakdown of surgical equipment
Ensure compliance with sterilization and safety protocols
Document equipment maintenance and usage
Collaborate with surgical and healthcare teams
Identify and report equipment issues or malfunctions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
Support efficient surgical operations

Required Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Technology, Healthcare, or related field
1–3 years of experience in surgical equipment or healthcare support roles
Strong attention to detail and technical skills
Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices
Good organizational and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospital or surgical center settings
Familiarity with surgical instruments and procedures
Knowledge of sterilization standards and compliance
Understanding of equipment maintenance processes
Certification in sterile processing (preferred)
