Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Software Patch Engineer to support patch management and system updates. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying software patches, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy and manage software patches and updates
Monitor systems to ensure successful patch implementation
Troubleshoot patch-related issues and system errors
Collaborate with IT and security teams for patch planning
Maintain documentation of patching activities
Ensure compliance with security and update policies
Support vulnerability remediation efforts
Assist in automation of patch management processes
Track patch schedules and system updates
Support system stability and performance improvements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
0–2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or patch management roles
Basic understanding of operating systems and system updates
Familiarity with troubleshooting and debugging techniques
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM)
Familiarity with system administration tasks
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity practices
Understanding of vulnerability management processes
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA or Microsoft (preferred)
