Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Software Version Control Engineer to support code management and collaboration workflows. In this role, you will manage repositories, assist in version control processes, and ensure smooth integration of code changes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain version control systems (Git, SVN)
Support developers with branching, merging, and code integration
Monitor repository health and resolve version conflicts
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams
Maintain documentation of version control workflows
Assist in release and build management processes
Ensure compliance with coding and version control standards
Track code changes and maintain logs
Support automation of version control processes
Improve collaboration and code management practices

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
0–2 years of experience in software development, version control, or IT roles
Basic understanding of version control systems (Git, SVN)
Familiarity with software development workflows
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Git platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash)
Understanding of DevOps practices
Exposure to software release processes
