Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Cardiac Stepdown Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients transitioning from intensive cardiac care. In this role, you will monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and support recovery in a stepdown unit.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor cardiac patients and vital signs
Administer medications and cardiac treatments
Assess patient conditions and report changes
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams
Educate patients and families on recovery and care
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols
Respond to changes in patient conditions promptly
Maintain a safe and clean care environment
Support patient recovery and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
2–4 years of experience in cardiac, telemetry, or stepdown nursing roles
Valid RN license to practice in Florida
Strong knowledge of cardiac care and monitoring
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in stepdown or telemetry units
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong critical thinking and patient monitoring skills
