Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clinical Intake Coordinator to join our partner healthcare organization in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will manage patient intake processes, coordinate admissions, and ensure accurate documentation and communication between patients, providers, and care teams. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in administrative coordination within a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage patient intake and admission processes
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical records
Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate care coordination
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations
Schedule appointments and coordinate services as needed
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA)
Support administrative and operational tasks within the clinical team

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
1–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, patient intake, or care coordination
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospital, clinic, or home healthcare settings
Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
