Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our partner organization in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The ideal candidate will support licensed physical therapists in delivering treatment plans, assisting patients, and ensuring smooth rehabilitation operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans
Support patients during exercises and mobility programs
Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapy
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment
Ensure compliance with safety and healthcare regulations
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or certificate in Physical Therapy Assistance
1–2 years of experience in rehabilitation or clinical settings
Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and exercises
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills
Ability to work under supervision and follow treatment protocols
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed or certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Indiana
Experience with outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation settings
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
