Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Acute Dialysis Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for patients requiring dialysis treatment. In this role, you will monitor patient conditions, administer dialysis procedures, and ensure safe and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide dialysis care to patients in acute care settings
Monitor patient vitals before, during, and after dialysis
Operate and maintain dialysis equipment
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Assess patient conditions and respond to complications
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with nephrologists and healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols
Educate patients and families on dialysis care
Maintain a safe and sterile treatment environment

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
2–5 years of experience in dialysis or clinical nursing roles
Valid RN license to practice in Louisiana
Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures and patient care
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work in high-acuity healthcare environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in acute dialysis or nephrology units
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or CNN/CDN
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong patient monitoring and critical thinking skills
Commitment to patient-centered care
