Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac ICU Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to critically ill patients with cardiac conditions. In this role, you will monitor patient status, administer treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and assess critically ill cardiac patients in the ICU
Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced cardiac life support treatments
Operate and monitor life-support equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Respond to medical emergencies and provide rapid critical care interventions
Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and ICU teams
Educate patients and families about conditions and recovery plans
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Ensure compliance with ICU protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices
Support post-operative cardiac care and recovery
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred (Associate degree accepted)
2–4 years of experience in ICU or cardiac critical care settings
Strong knowledge of cardiac care, ICU protocols, and critical care procedures
Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and CCRN
Experience with cardiac ICU equipment and monitoring systems
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strong understanding of patient safety and infection control
Experience in post-operative cardiac or cardiovascular ICU care
