Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder who can accurately translate medical diagnoses, procedures, and services into standardized codes. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring proper billing, compliance, and healthcare documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Review patient records and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines
- Work closely with billing teams to process claims efficiently
- Identify and resolve coding discrepancies or errors
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of patient information
Required Qualifications:
- Certification in Medical Coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in medical coding or related role
- Strong knowledge of coding systems and healthcare terminology
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with EHR systems and billing processes
