Job Title: Sleep Study Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Sleep Study Technician to join our partner organization. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies (polysomnography) to diagnose and monitor sleep disorders. You will work closely with physicians and patients to ensure accurate data collection and a comfortable testing environment. This position is ideal for individuals interested in sleep medicine, patient care, and diagnostic technology.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and attaching monitoring equipment
Conduct overnight polysomnographic recordings and monitor patient activity
Record and analyze data related to brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate, and breathing patterns
Identify and document irregular sleep patterns or abnormalities
Ensure proper functioning and calibration of sleep study equipment
Maintain accurate patient records and study documentation
Provide patient support and ensure comfort throughout the study process
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to review findings
Follow safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
Assist in troubleshooting equipment and technical issues
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred
0–2 years of experience in sleep technology, healthcare, or a related field
Basic understanding of sleep disorders and diagnostic procedures
Ability to operate medical monitoring equipment
Strong attention to detail and observational skills
Good communication and patient care abilities
Ability to work night shifts and flexible schedules
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent
Experience in a sleep lab or clinical setting
Familiarity with sleep study software and data analysis tools
Knowledge of respiratory therapy or related healthcare disciplines
Basic troubleshooting skills for medical equipment
Strong organizational and time management skills
