Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Log Monitoring Analyst to monitor, analyze, and respond to system and application logs. In this role, you will identify anomalies, support incident response, and ensure system reliability and security. This position is ideal for individuals interested in IT operations, monitoring, and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor system, application, and security logs for unusual activity
Analyze logs to detect incidents, anomalies, and potential threats
Respond to alerts and escalate issues to relevant teams
Maintain and optimize log monitoring tools and dashboards
Document incidents, findings, and resolution steps
Collaborate with IT, security, and DevOps teams
Support incident management and root cause analysis
Ensure compliance with security and monitoring standards
Assist in improving monitoring processes and alerting mechanisms
Maintain accurate logs and reporting documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
0–2 years of experience in IT support, monitoring, or cybersecurity
Basic understanding of log analysis and monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, etc.)
Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Windows)
Knowledge of networking fundamentals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Attention to detail and ability to work in shifts if required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.)
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and incident response
Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash)
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or similar
