Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and attentive Cardiac Monitoring Technician to monitor patients’ heart rhythms and support cardiac care teams. In this role, you will observe telemetry data, identify abnormalities, and promptly report concerns to medical staff. This position is ideal for individuals interested in cardiac care, patient monitoring, and healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor cardiac telemetry and ECG readings continuously
Identify and report abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias)
Maintain accurate patient monitoring records and documentation
Communicate critical findings to nurses and physicians promptly
Ensure proper functioning of cardiac monitoring equipment
Assist in setting up and maintaining telemetry devices
Follow protocols for patient safety and infection control
Respond to alerts and emergencies efficiently
Support clinical staff with monitoring-related tasks
Maintain a clean and organized monitoring environment
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
0–2 years of experience in cardiac monitoring or healthcare support
Basic knowledge of ECG and cardiac rhythms
Strong attention to detail and observational skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Cardiac Monitoring or ECG (e.g., CCT)
Experience in telemetry or hospital settings
Familiarity with cardiac monitoring systems and equipment
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
