Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Oncology Patient Navigation Assistant to help guide patients through their cancer care journey. In this role, you will assist with scheduling, coordination, and patient support services.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating oncology patient appointments and services
Support patient navigation through treatment processes
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and care teams
Provide guidance and support to patients and families
Ensure compliance with healthcare protocols and standards
Track patient progress and service delivery
Assist with insurance verification and authorizations
Facilitate communication between departments
Improve patient navigation workflows

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field
0–2 years of experience in oncology support, patient services, or healthcare roles
Basic understanding of cancer care processes
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Good communication and patient support abilities
Ability to work in emotionally sensitive environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in oncology clinics or healthcare settings
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Knowledge of treatment coordination and patient navigation
Understanding of insurance and authorization processes
Certification in healthcare coordination (preferred)
