Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Credentialing Specialist to join our partner organization. In this role, you will manage and maintain provider credentials, verify qualifications, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare administration and provider credentialing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Verify and maintain provider credentials, licenses, and certifications
Collect, review, and validate documentation from healthcare providers
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate credentialing records and databases
Communicate with providers regarding credentialing requirements and updates
Collaborate with internal teams to support provider onboarding and network participation
Assist with audits and reporting related to credentialing activities
Monitor expiration dates and follow up on renewals
Required Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
1–3 years of experience in medical credentialing or healthcare administration
Knowledge of credentialing standards, licensing requirements, and regulatory compliance
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in computer systems and credentialing software
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or equivalent certification
Experience with provider enrollment and network participation
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
