Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Lab Processing Assistant to support laboratory operations by handling specimen intake, processing, and data entry. This role is essential in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing of samples for diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities
Receive, label, and process patient specimens accurately
Verify patient information and ensure proper documentation
Prepare samples for testing according to lab protocols
Maintain lab records and update data in laboratory systems
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Assist lab technicians and technologists with daily operations
Monitor specimen storage and handling conditions
Identify and report discrepancies or issues with samples
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab workspace
Support timely turnaround of test results
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
1–3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting
Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety standards
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS)
Familiarity with specimen processing and medical terminology
Certification in phlebotomy or lab assistance (a plus)
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
