Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Clinical Intake Specialist to join our partner organization. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring accurate intake processing, coordinating care services, and supporting smooth clinical workflows. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare administration and patient support.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and verify patient information, medical history, and insurance details
Process new patient intakes and ensure accurate data entry into systems
Coordinate with healthcare providers to schedule appointments and services
Review referrals and ensure all required documentation is complete
Communicate with patients regarding intake procedures and next steps
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA)
Assist in resolving intake-related issues and follow up with patients as needed
Maintain organized records and documentation
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
1–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, patient intake, or a related role
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems
Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism
