Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Critical Care Stepdown Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for patients transitioning from intensive care. In this role, you will monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and ensure continuity of care in a stepdown unit.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor patients recovering from critical conditions
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Assess patient progress and report changes to physicians
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with healthcare teams for care planning
Provide patient and family education
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols
Respond to changes in patient condition promptly
Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment
Support patient recovery and rehabilitation

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
2–4 years of experience in critical care or stepdown units
Valid RN license to practice in Nebraska
Strong knowledge of critical care and patient monitoring
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work in high-pressure healthcare environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in ICU or telemetry units
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or CCRN
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong critical thinking and patient management skills
Commitment to patient-centered care
