Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Build Engineer to support build and release processes within the software development lifecycle. In this role, you will manage build systems, automate processes, and ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications. This position is ideal for individuals interested in DevOps, CI/CD, and software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain build and release pipelines
Automate build processes using CI/CD tools
Monitor build performance and resolve build failures
Collaborate with development and QA teams for integration
Maintain version control and build configurations
Troubleshoot issues related to builds and deployments
Ensure code integration and consistency across environments
Maintain build documentation and reports
Support release management and deployment activities
Continuously improve build automation processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
0–2 years of experience in software development, build engineering, or DevOps
Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
Understanding of build tools (Maven, Gradle, etc.)
Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Python, or similar)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation tools
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
Understanding of software release processes
