Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software QA Engineer to join our partner organization in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through testing, debugging, and collaboration with development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality
Identify, document, and track bugs and defects
Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues
Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution
Perform regression, functional, and usability testing
Maintain detailed documentation of test results and processes
Support continuous improvement of QA processes and standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
0–2 years of experience in software testing or QA (freshers with relevant skills can apply)
Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
Familiarity with testing tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress
Basic programming knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript)
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
