Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cloud Operations Engineer to join our partner organization. In this role, you will support the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services. You will work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and security. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Monitor system performance, availability, and security across cloud environments
Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Automate routine operational tasks using scripts and tools
Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines
Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
Implement and monitor backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices
Track system metrics and generate performance reports
Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
0–2 years of experience in cloud computing, system administration, or IT operations
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and command-line tools
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls)
Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Azure VMs, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, CloudWatch, Grafana)
Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Awareness of security best practices in cloud environments
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
