Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Application Performance Engineer to join our partner organization in San Jose, California. In this role, you will focus on monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing application performance to ensure high availability and efficiency. This position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in performance engineering, system optimization, and cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor application performance metrics and identify bottlenecks
Analyze system behavior under load and recommend improvements
Assist in performance testing, load testing, and stress testing
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to optimize applications
Troubleshoot performance-related issues and implement solutions
Use performance monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic)
Document findings, reports, and optimization strategies
Support continuous improvement of application performance processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
0–2 years of experience in performance testing, software engineering, or IT support
Basic understanding of application architecture and system design
Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Understanding of APIs, databases, and microservices architecture
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, or Bash)
Relevant certifications in performance testing or cloud technologies
