Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Software Validation Engineer to join our partner organization in San Diego, California. In this role, you will assist in validating software applications, performing quality assurance tests, and ensuring compliance with functional and regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in software quality, validation, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in creating and executing software validation and test plans
Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of software applications
Document test results, defects, and validation reports accurately
Collaborate with software developers, QA teams, and project stakeholders
Support adherence to regulatory, compliance, and quality standards
Maintain testing documentation, workflows, and version control records
Participate in code reviews, validation reviews, and project meetings
Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to QA best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
0–2 years of experience in software testing, QA, or validation (internships/projects count)
Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and validation processes
Familiarity with testing tools, defect tracking, and documentation practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Good communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to follow structured testing protocols and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automated testing tools and scripting (e.g., Selenium, Python, Java)
Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, or GxP)
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Exposure to Agile or DevOps methodologies
Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance
