Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pediatric Care Assistant to join our partner organization in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will support pediatric nurses and healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to children, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about child healthcare and patient support.

Key Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with routine care and clinical tasks for pediatric patients
Support children with daily activities, mobility, and therapy exercises as directed
Monitor and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress
Prepare and maintain treatment areas, medical equipment, and supplies
Provide emotional support and reassurance to children and families
Maintain compliance with safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols
Communicate observations and updates to supervising nurses and healthcare staff
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance pediatric care skills

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in healthcare or child development is a plus
0–2 years of experience in pediatric care, patient support, or related internships/clinical rotations
Strong interpersonal, communication, and compassionate care skills
Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals
Physically capable of assisting children with mobility and daily activities
Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospital, outpatient, or pediatric clinic settings
CPR/BLS certification for infants and children
Knowledge of pediatric care procedures and child development principles
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Interest in pursuing further education or certification in pediatric healthcare
