Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Surgical Care Assistant to support surgical procedures and patient care. In this role, you will assist healthcare professionals, prepare equipment, and ensure a safe clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
Support surgical teams during procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of operating areas
Monitor patient conditions and report changes
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Ensure compliance with healthcare safety and infection control standards
Assist in patient transport and positioning
Collaborate with nurses and healthcare staff
Support overall surgical operations

Required Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or related field
0–2 years of experience in surgical support or healthcare roles
Basic knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in clinical environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in operating rooms or surgical units
Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment
Knowledge of infection control protocols
Certification in patient care or surgical assistance (preferred)
Understanding of healthcare compliance standards
