Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Service Continuity Analyst to join our partner organization in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of IT service continuity programs to ensure minimal disruption during incidents or outages. This position is ideal for professionals interested in IT service management, risk mitigation, and business continuity planning.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of IT service continuity and disaster recovery plans
Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities affecting IT services and infrastructure
Monitor and report on continuity readiness, including system redundancies and backup processes
Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of continuity strategies
Support incident management and post-incident reviews to identify improvements
Maintain documentation of continuity plans, processes, and test results
Participate in continuity drills, simulations, and audits
Recommend enhancements to improve service reliability and resilience

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
1–3 years of experience in IT operations, service management, or continuity planning
Basic understanding of ITIL framework and business continuity concepts
Familiarity with backup, recovery, and redundancy technologies
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with disaster recovery planning, IT risk assessments, or business impact analysis
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and continuity tools
Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), or DRII
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
Experience with incident response and operational resilience initiatives
