Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthopedic Care Technician to assist in the care and treatment of patients with orthopedic conditions. In this role, you will support healthcare professionals in clinical procedures, patient mobility, and rehabilitation processes while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians and nurses with orthopedic procedures and patient care
Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, braces, and traction devices
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to medical staff
Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and daily activities
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
Perform basic clinical tasks such as vital signs monitoring and documentation
Support rehabilitation exercises under supervision
Ensure compliance with healthcare safety standards and protocols
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
1–3 years of experience in orthopedic or clinical support roles
Basic knowledge of orthopedic care procedures and terminology
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and lifting
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as an Orthopedic Technician (OTC) or similar
Experience working in hospitals, clinics, or rehabilitation centers
Knowledge of medical equipment and casting techniques
Basic understanding of infection control practices
CPR/BLS certification
