Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Processing Specialist to manage and process patient medical records. In this role, you will ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of healthcare documentation while supporting efficient records management.
Key Responsibilities
Process and maintain patient medical records accurately
Review records for completeness and compliance with standards
Update and manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems
Ensure proper coding and classification of medical information
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Retrieve and organize records for clinical and administrative use
Assist in audits and quality assurance processes
Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections
Support data entry and document management tasks
Collaborate with healthcare staff to improve documentation processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
1–3 years of experience in medical records, healthcare documentation, or related roles
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and analytical abilities
Preferred Qualifications
RHIT, RHIA, or related certification
Experience with medical coding (ICD-10, CPT)
Knowledge of healthcare compliance and audit processes
Familiarity with document management systems
Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
