Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate professional to support blood collection and specimen handling operations. In this role, you will assist with blood sample collection preparation, specimen processing, patient support, and laboratory coordination to ensure accurate diagnostic workflows and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with blood collection preparation, specimen labeling, and handling procedures

Support phlebotomists and laboratory staff during patient collection processes

Maintain accurate specimen documentation and chain-of-custody procedures

Prepare, transport, and process blood samples for laboratory testing

Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and healthcare regulations

Monitor supply inventory for collection and laboratory materials

Assist with patient intake, scheduling, and support services

Maintain cleanliness and organization of collection and processing areas

Support quality assurance and laboratory workflow efficiency

Enhance patient experience through professional and compassionate care

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or associate degree in healthcare support, laboratory science, or related field

1–3 years of experience in phlebotomy support, specimen handling, laboratory assistance, or patient care roles

Basic understanding of blood collection, specimen processing, and healthcare safety protocols

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical or laboratory environments

Detail-oriented with commitment to patient safety and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification or relevant healthcare support credential

Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) or EHR/EMR platforms

Familiarity with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards

Knowledge of specimen transport and diagnostic workflow processes

CPR/BLS certification
