Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Pipeline Engineer to join our partner organization in New York City. In this role, you will assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and accessible data for analytics and business insights. This position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in data engineering and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
Support integration of data from multiple sources into centralized systems
Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and software engineers to ensure data availability
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows for reliability and performance
Maintain documentation, including pipeline workflows and schema definitions
Support data quality checks, validation, and governance processes
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
0–2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or database management (internships/projects count)
Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques
Basic knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Python, Java, or other programming languages for data processing
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and data services
Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and BI tools
Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git)
Understanding of data governance and compliance standards
