Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Blood Processing Technician to handle the preparation, processing, and storage of blood and blood components. In this role, you will ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards in laboratory operations. This position is ideal for individuals interested in laboratory science, transfusion medicine, and healthcare support services.

Key Responsibilities
Process whole blood and blood components according to established protocols
Label, store, and track blood products accurately
Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with safety standards
Maintain proper storage conditions for blood and components
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
Document processing activities and maintain accurate records
Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
Assist in inventory management of blood products
Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff
Follow strict infection control and safety procedures
Required Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field
1–3 years of experience in laboratory or blood bank settings
Knowledge of blood processing and laboratory procedures
Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, AABB)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and documentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Certification such as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or similar
Experience in blood bank or transfusion services
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)
Knowledge of quality assurance and control processes
Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
