Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Rehabilitation Assistant to join our partner healthcare facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will support physical therapists in helping patients recover from injuries, surgeries, and physical conditions. This position is ideal for individuals interested in rehabilitation, patient care, and therapy support services.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physical therapists with patient treatment plans and exercises
Help patients perform therapeutic activities and mobility exercises
Monitor patient progress and report changes to therapists
Prepare therapy equipment and maintain a clean treatment area
Educate patients on exercises and recovery techniques
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions
Support daily rehabilitation operations and workflow
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Healthcare, or related field (or relevant certification)
0–2 years of experience in rehabilitation, therapy assistance, or healthcare support
Basic knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with patients of all ages and conditions
Compassionate and patient-focused approach
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a rehabilitation center or physical therapy clinic
Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or similar credential
Knowledge of injury recovery, mobility training, and exercise therapy
Familiarity with patient documentation systems
Ability to handle physically active and hands-on tasks
