Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clinical Scheduling Specialist to coordinate patient appointments and ensure efficient scheduling of clinical services. In this role, you will work closely with healthcare providers, patients, and administrative teams to optimize scheduling workflows and enhance patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments efficiently
Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff regarding availability
Verify patient information and update scheduling systems
Ensure proper documentation of appointments and patient records
Communicate appointment details, changes, and reminders to patients
Manage high call volumes and respond to scheduling inquiries
Prioritize urgent and emergency scheduling needs
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with regulations
Assist in optimizing scheduling workflows and reducing patient wait times
Resolve scheduling conflicts and escalate issues when necessary

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in healthcare administration preferred)
1–3 years of experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospital or clinical scheduling environments
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
Familiarity with scheduling software and patient management systems
Basic understanding of healthcare compliance and privacy regulations
Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
