Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Respiratory Therapy Assistant to support respiratory therapists in delivering care to patients with breathing disorders. In this role, you will assist with treatments, monitor patient conditions, and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist respiratory therapists with patient treatments and procedures
Prepare and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
Monitor patients receiving oxygen therapy or ventilator support
Record patient data and report any changes in condition
Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and storage of equipment
Support patient education on respiratory care techniques
Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and procedures
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Assist during emergency respiratory situations
Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in healthcare preferred)
1–3 years of experience in respiratory care or clinical support roles
Basic knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment
Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as a Respiratory Therapy Assistant or similar credential
Experience in hospital or clinical respiratory care settings
Familiarity with ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Knowledge of patient monitoring and documentation systems
