Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Infectious Disease Support Nurse (RN) to assist in the care and management of patients with infectious conditions. In this role, you will support treatment plans, monitor patient conditions, and help prevent the spread of infections.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients with infectious diseases
Monitor patient conditions and report changes
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with physicians and infection control teams
Educate patients and families on infection prevention
Ensure compliance with healthcare safety protocols
Support isolation and infection control procedures
Respond to infection-related complications
Promote a safe and hygienic care environment

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
2–4 years of experience in infectious disease or clinical nursing roles
Valid RN license to practice in Louisiana
Strong knowledge of infection control and disease management
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work in high-risk healthcare environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in infectious disease units or hospital settings
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Knowledge of epidemiology and disease prevention
Strong critical thinking and patient monitoring skills
