Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Equipment Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair medical equipment used in clinical environments. In this role, you will ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and calibration of medical equipment
Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and technical issues
Install, test, and configure new medical devices and systems
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with clinical staff to address equipment-related concerns
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or replacements
Ensure proper handling and storage of medical equipment
Support emergency repairs and on-call maintenance when required
Required Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
2–4 years of experience in medical equipment maintenance or similar role
Strong knowledge of medical devices and electronic systems
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues
Familiarity with safety standards and healthcare regulations
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or similar
Experience working in hospitals or clinical settings
Knowledge of diagnostic and imaging equipment
Understanding of preventive maintenance programs
Basic IT and networking knowledge related to medical devices
