Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Surgical Nurse (RN) to support surgical procedures and patient care. In this role, you will assist in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing patients for surgical procedures
Support surgeons and medical teams during operations
Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgery
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain sterile environments and follow surgical protocols
Document patient care and surgical details accurately
Collaborate with healthcare teams for coordinated care
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and recovery
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and safety regulations
Respond promptly to surgical or post-operative complications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
2–4 years of experience in surgical or operating room nursing roles
Valid RN license to practice in Pennsylvania
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work in high-pressure healthcare environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in operating rooms or surgical units
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or CNOR
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong critical thinking and patient monitoring skills
Commitment to patient-centered surgical care
