Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Blood Collection Lab Assistant to support specimen collection and laboratory operations. In this role, you will assist with blood sample collection, ensure proper handling, and support diagnostic processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in collecting blood samples from patients
Prepare and label specimens accurately
Ensure proper handling and transportation of samples
Maintain patient records and documentation
Follow safety and infection control protocols
Assist in maintaining lab equipment and supplies
Collaborate with lab technicians and healthcare teams
Ensure patient comfort during collection procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
Support efficient laboratory operations

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field
0–1 years of experience in laboratory or healthcare support roles
Basic knowledge of specimen collection procedures
Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in phlebotomy or laboratory settings
Familiarity with lab information systems (LIS)
Knowledge of specimen handling and safety protocols
Certification in phlebotomy (preferred)
Understanding of healthcare compliance practices
