Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clinical Documentation Audit Coordinator to manage documentation audits and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. In this role, you will review records, coordinate audits, and support quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate clinical documentation audit processes
Review medical records for accuracy and completeness
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Collaborate with healthcare and administrative teams
Maintain audit records and documentation
Identify discrepancies and support corrective actions
Assist in quality assurance and compliance initiatives
Ensure confidentiality of patient information
Track audit metrics and generate reports
Improve audit and documentation workflows
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
1–3 years of experience in clinical documentation, auditing, or compliance roles
Strong knowledge of healthcare documentation standards
Basic understanding of regulatory requirements (HIPAA)
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in hospital or healthcare audit roles
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes
Understanding of audit and compliance frameworks
Certification such as RHIT, RHIA, or similar (preferred)
