Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pediatric Observation Nurse (RN) to monitor and care for children requiring short-term observation. In this role, you will assess patient conditions, administer care, and ensure timely clinical interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to pediatric observation patients
Monitor vital signs and patient conditions closely
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Assess patient progress and report any changes
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Collaborate with pediatricians and healthcare teams
Educate families on care and observation procedures
Ensure compliance with healthcare protocols and standards
Respond promptly to clinical changes or emergencies
Maintain a safe and supportive care environment

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
1–3 years of experience in pediatric or clinical nursing roles
Valid RN license to practice in Florida
Strong knowledge of pediatric care practices
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work in observation or acute care units

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in pediatric observation units or hospital settings
Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong patient monitoring and assessment skills
Commitment to child-centered care
